A wonderful little area with climbing right on the edge of the lake, Wabun currently features around 30 easy to moderate sport and trad climbs. There are also several crown land camp sites along the shore of the lake, which make for a fun climbing and camping adventure. A canoe (or some other watercraft) is currently required to get to the cliffs.
Guide
All of the routes are well document on the Crag, along with detailed information on accessing the cliffs.
Location
Wabun Lake is located about 11 km west of the main Eagle’s Nest climbing area, and is accessed via a boat launch at the end of Wabun Lake Rd.

Approach
The cliffs are located on the east side of the lake, opposite the boat launch. The cliffs are not visible from the boat launch, as it is on the edge of an inlet, obscured by the closer shore. As you paddle along the south shore, they will eventually come into view.
The paddle is just over 1km and should take around 15 minutes in a canoe. Although it is technically possible to reach the cliffs by land, there is currently no easy way to do this.
