This is the most popular bouldering area around Calabogie, having the largest concentration of boulders and the most quality problems. The boulders mostly sit on a relatively flat strip of land between the Eagle’s Nest cliff and Otter Pond.
Guide

The bouldering at Otter Pond is now fully documented in the Calabogie Bouldering guidebook (2026).
The problems are also documented on the KAYA climbing app and you can still download the most recent (2022) free PDF mini guide.
Location
The boulders are located approximately 2.5 km west of the Calabogie Peaks Ski Resort, and is accessed via the Eagles Nest Parking lot.

Approach
Do NOT take either of the signed trails near the parking lot! The easiest way to the Otter Pond boulders is to walk 100m west along the road to an unsigned, but well worn, trail that starts at a small bridge that spans the ditch. This trail will take you to the Gateway boulder in about 15 minutes.
